Driver's seats, simulator hardware & other railwayana up for grabs

Hi all,

We're looking to raise some funds to improve the facilities for our trainee drivers, and I'm pleased to announce that we've got some decommissioned train simulator hardware and general railwayana up for grabs in exchange for donations.

Although all of this was working prior to being dismantled but it's been stored/untested for some time and must be considered non-functioning.

To give everyone a fair shout please send us a message stating what item(s) you're interested in and how much you'd be willing to donate; we'll work through messages once a week and arrange a mutually beneficial time for collection during office hours.

All items would need to be collected from the Southern & Gatwick Express Driver Training Centre, adjacent to Selhurst depot. Please bear in mind that some of this is very heavy - please bring an appropriate vehicle/trolley/number of people!

Driver's seats (3 available)
Original seats removed from our Electrostar fleet. All mechanical adjustments work and upholstery is in good condition. They feature integral seat heating (untested).



Class 455/456 control boxes (2 pairs available)



Class 377 (Electrostar) control box (2 available)



Class 171 (Turbostar) control box (3 available)



Interchangeable door control panels (2 pairs available)
Includes blanking plates to simulate class 377 or class 455 operation.

Hi There, I work as a train guard for a TOC in the midlands. Not sure how to privately message you, but i'm very much interested in the simulator side of the parts available, I've been doing a personal cabsim project to eventually allow people to experience driving a train with proper components if they can't for any reason such as those with disabilities. The project tends to stall a lot waiting for components etc. To become available - But i'd love to chat further with you. How would I get in touch?

Are Southern that hard up that they can't afford facilties for trainee drivers without flogging random bits and pieces on the internet? If it was being sold off for charity, that would be understandable, but this seems a bit odd?

Im sure the in exchange for donations mentioned in the original post would be for charity as well as for trainee drivers? Would imagine the parts would have just been chucked in the bin if not required anymore.

Hiya, I was just wondering how you got the GSM-R to work on your computer as I have one and am looking to do the same.

• Canon XEED SX800 projector (untested, 3 available)
• Epson EMP720 projector (untested, 2 available)
• Assorted screens

We've got one driver's chair pending collection and the last one is on eBay if you're interested (ending Friday).

All proceeds are going to charity.
