Drivers rules revision.

Question to the drivers on here.

With regards to keep your rules knowledge up to date, and preparing for a rules assessment, anyone have any certain ways/things they use to do it?

Read one module a week, all the time. Keeps your knowledge up to date and your mind refreshed.

I never revise :/

I read the updates twice a year and that's about it. Had my annual A4 a couple of weeks ago.

As a trainee doing my hours, I have an A5 notebook with all of the main bits in, I try and spend a couple of hours per week going over it.

I call it "Comrade Economist's Little Black Book"...

Good idea. I have a little black book in my bag rammed with all the rubbish I wrote down as a trainee. I never look at it now though as a lot of it is already out of date. I just read the updates and skim over to refresh from time to time

I also have used this link http://uktrainingsolutions.com/UKTrainingSolutions/m322/ and found it very useful, from what i see its up-to-date. I did try the drivers rules refresher and handy with Q&A, what i did like is that if you get a question wrong, it feeds back why its wrong and helps you understand the reasoning behind it. Great for new drivers. The only downside for me is that you have to complete the course before doing the assessment whereby i wanted to jump straight into the questions, i can understand why but after you have done the module you can go back to questions whenever you need.

Which company would you expect to get charged ? Your TOC ?

Just use it as an independent individual and then its free.

Im on the understanding that this is used for drivers to learn or refresh and when i signed up it does say your details or activity are not linked with any TOC. Like Choochoo said above use it as an individual and take advantage of it being free.
