This certainly continued on for a while, they use the EMT 158 (or 156 if that's how it falls, as seen here) stabled at Crown Point over night.

Wait, my bad, that's Lowestoft. I'd remembered Yarmouth myself!

So 158's regularly get to lowestoft?- sorry for the gap, i'm on my mobile :)

fcc drivers only go to orpington and sevenoaks (only bedford/blackfriars drivers), and southeastern go all the way to bedford (victoria/orpington drivers).

Didn't the tpx services to scotland used to be driven by freightliner drivers from carlisle/preston?

Correct, Southeastern drivers regularly do the slow stopping services from Blackfriars to St Albans/Luton.

Also last year EWS drivers were doing Bedford - Brighton runs on the 377/5 as well.

Freightliner has a contract to supply drivers to TPE for their Anglo-Scottish services.

Freightliner HH do Carlisle to Glasgow/Edinburgh driver turns; guards are TPE, with bases in Edinburgh and Preston covering them. The FL drivers do all the Glasgow turns, and some of the Edinburgh turns. Preston have been trained on Carlisle - Edinburgh.

Emt Drivers and guards used to operate the 12.06 Nottingham - Cardiff for 1 year after the franchise changed. My last safety crit card as a guard still had 170 on as traction even though it was 2 years since I last worked one. I had the pleasure of working the last emt operated service to Birmingham on behalf of XC. As previously posted at Nottingham under Central we operated Midland Mainline cl170 from Nottingham to Leicester then continued onto Coventry as a central service usually minus the trolley but it was known that the trolley was left on. Needless to say it had no stock by the time it returned to Leicester. The unit also worked upto Worksop usually with full crockery laid out. ( Most house between Bulwell and Worksop have at least 2 cups theiving sods:lol::lol:
