Driver training hours

Hi does anyone know the hours when doing the scotrail driver training programme during the 1st year. Is it 9-5?

I suspect it depends on your TOC and location but there will be others more qualified to comment.

On the rules course or during manual handling ?

Rules tends to be office hours and classroom based. Manual handling you should be following your Instructors roster so 24/7

As ComUtor says, rules and traction is office hours, maybe not as late finish, 3/4pm perhaps.

I did that for 5 months, but we had the Christmas break etc so could have been 4.

Then driving hours is whatever and all hours of the clock (mandatory, dark driving etc) depending on the roster. This is usually another 3-5 months.
