Driver Training Academy Manchester

Hi everyone, new to this ...

I could be due to start driver training in the near future hopefully as I've passed all assessments and interviews.
I believe this will be in Manchester, my question is, is there any kind of accommodation provided whilst training or do I need to sort this myself??? I live approx 3 hours away so wouldn't fancy doing the commute everyday. Appreciate any info.

Everything depends on how far your depot is, not how far you live.
I can only think of one depot on the west side that would require lodging in Manchester.

If your a Northern candidate there is also a training school in Leeds which you may be offered a place if that is closer to your depot.

I *think* the ruling is 90 minutes for training; any further than that is a hotel during the week. The 90 minutes is based on your home depot location though rather than your home address.

Thanks guys, I'm only 10 minutes away from the depot I would eventually be based, but both are over 2.5hrs and 3hrs from Manchester or Leeds respectively. Hopefully that 90 minute rule will apply.

What depot would that be?
That 90 minutes would be on train, not driving.
