Learn all your times tables inside out.
Learn to add and subtract with a decimal point.
there are a few questions that have 2 stages, eg:
? + 45 = 27 + 65 <-- so you have to work out 27+65=92, then 92-45=?
I seem to recall working with fractions as well.
top tip is don't spend too long on any question, if it looks complicated or it's taking too long, move onto the next. You can always come back later and you won't get them all done anyway.
In the final 10-20 seconds of the test, just go over the answer sheet and answer the ones you left out at random - you can't get marked down and you never know you might just score an extra couple of points.
