Driver or Customer service assistant

I have applied for the role of driver, my application is still live but I haven't heard anything yet. but now I see they are advertising for Customer service assistant, which is a role I would be interested in if I am unsuccessful in my driver application.
What I would like to know is if I apply for Customer service assistant when my driver application is still live will this prejudice the application.

I assume you are talking about Northern. From my experience you seem to be able to have a customer service based application and a driver/conductor application in at the same time. I applied for a gateline job and conductor which was perfectly fine.

thanks for that, is it also strict sifting etc for a customer service assistant, I am looking for a career change to see me into retirement for the next 25 years
