Have been offered the job of a driver operator at Bescot. I start at the end of the month. Was a very challenging recruitment process but i'm thrilled that I've managed to get through it all and be offered the job at the end. Still young enough to get a great career. Would be interesting to speak to any other freight driver operators on here with their experiences etc. Really looking forward to it. There were two roles advertised, Driver operator and train driver. I applied for both and offered the opertor role which i'm happy with. Hopefully further into my career I can progress to a mainline driver. If anyone would like any advice on the assesment centre, interview stages etc then i'm happy to help from my personal experience. Exciting times joining the rail industry. Big change from being in the Police force and i've never left a job that enjoy however I feel very priviliged to be part of a successful expanding company.
