Hi all

I currently work as a qualified driver in Kent but will be relocating to Devon in the not too distant future. Whereabouts in Devon would depend on the locations of driver depots and the whole one hour travel distance.

I assume the TOC would be SWR? If anyone here works for them could you please tell me the location(s) of the driver depot(s)? I would also consider a driver job on freight aswell.

Thank you guys!

Only SWR depots vaguely commutable from Devon are Yeovil and (at the very outside) Weymouth, but that would only be commutable from far east Devon

Otherwise GWR at Exeter & Plymouth and CrossCountry at Plymouth

You may find the thread linked to below useful, which lists where each TOC's driver depots are and the routes/traction they sign. As @godfreycomplex says, SWR have no Devon depot. The Monday to Saturday 0510 Exeter St Davids to London Waterloo service is actually part of a night turn, with the crew working the last one down the previous night and having their break during several hours in Exeter.

Please do explore and make use of existing resources. As ever, it’s impossible to know when any given depot is next likely to be recruiting.
