Driver hydration in hot weather (?)

It’s happened in the TL Core and all over busy urban areas! Victoria became renowned for it for a few months. A combination of units with few or no toilets and the PNB points being at least a 10min round trip from some of the platforms.

Much easier on units with toilets but a bit harder on freight locos or multiple units without facilities!

I’m not sure if they were ever actually plumbed in to anything and officially able to be used, but I think some Class 37 locos had toilets at one point. As I understand it, they were removed, and I couldn’t say if any current locos have anything.

Have a look for a picture of an exploded 86 diagram. All the bits and pieces that make up the loco in its original form are shown, they used to have a hotplate, and if memory serves me correctly, had a tiny urinal .

Had toilets in the engine room im sure i read before.

Drivers need to take lessons in bowel control from Wimbledon chair umpires. I believe that the lady who umpired the Anderson/Isner match remained in her seat for the whole six and a half hours!

Whilst travelling on the Kyle Line recently, the driver of a service travelling in the opposite direction managed to get the lady with the catering trolley on our train to locally open the rear doors to hand him some refreshments.
