Does anyone know the limits that I can travel to from Dresden with a Tageskarte?

Good stuff, thanks Gordon. So I can get to the Schwebebahn / funicular railway, but I can't get to Pirna on it. Do you know if I get a return to Pirna, can I stop off on the way their / back? Also if I'm in Dresden for 4 days, is 4 day tickets the best option? Just planning my next trip in February

You could get the 2 zone tageskarte for €8 which allows you to go as far as Pirna.

4 day tickets for Dresden wil cost you €20 as opposed to €19 for a weekly ticket (valid from first use). 4 day tickets including Pirna will cost €32 as opposed to €27 for a weekly ticket.

To excess a day/weekly ticket for Dresden to allow you to reach Pirna will cost €4 (€2 each way)

BTW, whilst I have been to Dresden, I haven't used the public transport, I just got this info from the website

Oh right, thanks. I've been a few times, but due to work hardly ever get out of the City centre. I haven't seen an English translation of the website, but I'll have a look, cheers.

neither have I. The public transport ticketing system works similarily in most (if not all) cities in germany
