That explains why the insignia has not changed since then. In a way it makes for an enjoyable nostalgia trip. As I quite enjoy riding services that are unique to Mondays-Fridays (or weekends for that matter) I shall probably still ride it. I have yet to ride a refurbished FCC class 317, so can ride one from King's Cross to Finsbury Park, then onto Moorgate.

Gotta love it, especially when FCC have just introduced another type of branding for stations

Check Arlesey out, it's got NSE signs, with the NSE bit covered over with WAGN vinyl, which is then covered over with FCC vinyl

That's nothing new, Watton at Stone's been like that for well over 5 years!

If you really want to refer to new signage, try St Neots for one,

What have they decided to change to now?

I had to drive to my office today, so I went by Essex Road - a station I've never actually used and only ever pass through. The last time I drove by at street level was in the Wagn days, and I was quite surprised to see the way they've done it up. There's no BR logo (that I could see), and it has an illuminated sign that makes it look look more a disco than a railway station!!

There are First logos on the doors too, which seems like overkill. It's a train station, not their office (which, doesn't have First logos visible on the outside!)

TfL is the same - you'd think with the massive roundels on tube stations they would have something to mark the front door of their offices... apart from a tiny CCTV sign that says 'controlled by Transport for London' on it!

Scroll up the road to see the entrance and tell me it doesn't look like a nightclub!! Essex Road would even be a great name for a club too!
