Essentially everything that is "IR" is planned to be hauled except IR867 and IR874 which are used to swap the units on the locals over.

R4200 is also hauled being the return working of an IR into Pochino, which then works one of the two IRs to Porto that start at Regua the next morning.

There have been a number of loco failures recently, and early this week IR861 and IR866 were unit vice loco.

Sometimes on a Monday you get a loco swap at Regua on one of the return workings, as they like to swap out the thunderbird loco stationed there on occasions. Had it happen last year on the 868 train. Earlier they’d also had a loco waiting at Pocinho to drop on the back, so I got three different 1400s on one return trip. I think the previous year’s visit they just ran round at Pocinho and I got the same haulage back.
