Double head steam train in Chesterfield?

I was on the usual 1549 from Sheffield to Chesterfield today, just as we were on the approach to Chesterfield station a steam train (think it was double head steam train) with one carriage behind it headed towards Barrow Hill on the freight line. Anyone know what this was?

It certainly cheered up all the passengers on Chesterfield station!
