Hi, I was passing through Ely at about 2045 yesterday (7th July), & saw two Colas Rail 70s with a rake of Network Rail wagons, but was unable to get the numbers. Was anyone else about the area at the time & managed to get the numbers? I believe the train was working Whitemore to Hoo Junction. Many thanks if you're able to help.

Have you looked at realtimetrains.co.uk ? If not, tt may give you some more information?

Maybe it wasn't doing the whitemore to hoo junction, but that was all I could find on rtt that would've been in the area at that time, but it was definitely two 70s

As above, TOPS shows Monday night's 6O36 as 70801 and 66846:

Code:
66846 COLO WHITEMOOR 466O361Z07 D * HOOJNUPYD
70801 COLO WHITEMOOR 466O361Z07 C * HOOJNUPYD

(66846 had worked 6L37 to Whitemoor earlier on Monday and
70801 had been working off Whitemoor over the weekend)

I suppose it's possible that 66846 was erroneously consisted
on 6O36 on TOPS, but it was seen working off Hoo Junction
(to Ashford) on Tuesday, so that seems unlikely...
