Sorry to say I missed it by I think 10-15mins going through Ashurst (New Forest),I thought the return trip was going via Dorchester South-Yoevil but see "Dorsetman" said it was in P1 at Southampton Central at 17.09 ?, did they re-route ?

The trip was run in reverse to that which was originally advertised - out via Bristol and yeovil, back via Soton, Oxford, etc.

I caught the loco running light engine through Warrington Bank Quay (northbound) at about 15:30- which was a bit of a surprise!

Think it may be the first time I've seen a Deltic since I travelled behind one on a Virgin Cross Country service to Ramsgate.

That would have been her heading back to the East Lancs. Apparently they werent due to leave Crewe until 1500 ish or so.
