Could be cancelled for many reasons really. Risk of fire,low bookings,unavailable locomotive etc.

If last Wednesday's train is any guide then lack of bookings would be high on the list of reasons why tomorrow's train isn't running. It was less than half full in standard class and judging by the number of people on the platform at Weymouth a few minutes before departure of the return train the dining end wasn't much fuller, either.

I was booked on it, and have the email from RTC confirming the cancellation reason. So all of us paying passengers were told about it. No need for any other group of people to be told what the cancellation reason is. If they just want to take pictures of it they can see from the various websites that it's cancelled. I went on The Statesman instead yesterday, so still got my day out.
