Hi all, long time lurker, first time poster here.

This Tuesday (24th) I have to make a return trip from Dore (DOR) to Llandudno (LLD) to pick up an accordion (odd reason I know!). I need to arrive in LLD around midday but I'm not entirely sure when I would be departing from LLD so don't want to risk any advances. I have a 16-25 railcard and can also purchase a £10 Northern Rail Day Ranger from their deal with Johnston Press newspapers should that help! Can anyone beat the £38.55 SVR Off-Peak (route Via Stockport) fare? I've no problem using obscure routeings or combinations, but would rather the journey time wasn't extended massively only for the sake of a quid or two, if that makes sense?

Thanks in advance!

I can suggest a more expensive alternative...

A coast and peaks 4 in 8 day rover will cover your journey and will give you another 3 days of travel in much of Lancashire, Cheshire, Staffordshire and north Wales. It's £44.20 with a railcard.

By Lancashire I'm talking about the old county which included Liverpool and Manchester. It doesn't include much of the current county.
