Don't believe everything Huffington Post publishes.

The very recent report of the body of a cyclist embedded to the front of a TGF no doubt shocked many.
However, Huffington Post in their wisdom chose to include in the video reporting the incident images of a Deutsch Bahn ICE in a station in Germany.
DB rightfully could raise a very serious complaint about this, but I feel that people with an interest in railway matters should treat any material published by Huffington Post with a fair degree of caution.

I remember reading that original posting, I can't seem to find it now.

There reporting on anything to do with air travel is also very suspect, sometimes they cant even get the manufacturer of the aircraft OR airline involved correct.

If anyone post's up what really happened with links to the facts there post's then mysteriously disappears, happened to me several times in the past.

I don't take any notice of the Huffington Post at all. I ignore any results that come up in Google that are linked to it.

I don't read the HuffPo anyway, but is it really any different from the masses of local papers in the UK who report on a local railway story and roll out the one stock picture they have of a train? Usually the type of story where, for example, someone gets hit by a Pacer, and they use the stock picture they have of an EMT HST...

The South Wales Evening Post does similar - their one stock picture is of a 175 and it gets used for pretty much every railway story, though with the notable exception of if it's about policing of the railway on major local rugby/football derbies where it's of police at Glasgow Central.

I agree. The SWEP is a prime example of poor local newspapers. I stopped buying it years ago, but if I see one lying around I'll have a read as its such a good laugh! The railway stories are extremely funny, though usually they just recycle whatever press release ATW or FGW have sent them.
