Hi all,
I will recently be taking on work in Oxford for a few months (starting first week of September) while still living in Doncaster. I will be travelling down on a Monday morning and returning Wednesday evening.
I wonder if any of you have any good splitting/routing solutions for me to save some money?
An standard walk-up off peak open return is £88.60 on the direct XC services. That's my starting point. Going via London is far more expensive.
With advance tickets, £35.20 each way for a total of £70.40 is as cheap as I can find it in the first week of my post. £27.80 singles for a total of £55.60 are available for the end September/start October if I book a little farther in advance. Is it wishful thinking to get it lower than £55.60?
Split ticketing websites not coming up with anything better, that I can see.
