Doncaster to Medowhall tomorrow?

Morning gentlemen,

I have cause to travel between lincoln and Meadowhall tomorrow, looking at the RG I see that Lincoln - Retford - Doncaster - Medowhall is a valid route, and hence I'm wondering what the stock would be between Donny and Meadowhall? Hopefully this should help me decide if it is worth the detour (with either a longer journey using EC, or a few quid more expensive with EMT?)

Either Northern Pacers (142/144) or 158 on the stopping services, or a TPE 185 for the express from Doncaster - Meadowhall.

Is it slightly cheaper with EMT (Lincoln - Doncaster direct) rather than going via Retford? I take it you're not too enthusiastic about catching the Northern service from Lincoln and travelling throughout to Meadowhall via Sheffield?

Technically the Via retford ticket is cheaper (this includes the direct services, and using east coast to get to doncaster) however this difference is eaten up by the £12 minimum fare on my railcard. Hence currently the EMT service to donny, followed by the TPE fast to Meadowhall is my favorite choice, only taking around 20 mins more than the direct pacer, and some train geek time at doncaster station.

Not forgetting Sprinter and a 185, compared to What is most likely going to be a pacer.

Anyone know what the loadings are like on the 9:15 service to doncaster?
