The footbridge across the Afon Conwy linking the village of Dolgarrog with Dolgarrog railway station is nearing completion and should be open sometime in April.
The full active travel routes will be completed at a later date, but at least now the only access between the station and the village will be restored.

It looks like some good progress has been made there. As you say, without the footbridge, the village is isolated from the station and serves very little use.

Lovely news. Let’s hope that the trains start running on the line again soon.

Why is (what looks like) a minor bridge narrower than the big looking bridge?

Passenger usage at Dolgarrog station is noticeably higher since the footbridge linking the station and the village re-opened. I use the station fairly often and rarely saw anyone else however the last few times others have been getting on and off the train.
5 got off yesterday and another 3 got on with me, unheard of for Dolgarrog.
I saw lots of parents and children use it over Easter too.
