Hi all,

Over the last few weeks I've been lead to believe some companies that come under DOHL will NOT recruit drivers from another company that also falls under DOHL

Is this correct and if so, why?

If it is the case above then where does that leave drivers wanting to move between TOCs such as TPE, LNER, NORTHERN and even SOUTH EASTERN.

I only know of one of the companies following this approach, is this their approach or from higher means and will other companies under DOHL have the same approach when recruiting Qualified Drivers

Cheers

Can you elaborate on what has led you to hold this belief?

Indeed, one of the companies mentioned in my previous post has actively stated to another company that that's the case.

Drivers who have applied to another company have been told the reason why they won't employ them.

Could this be a move to help sustain driver levels, perhaps? A bit hamfisted, admittedly, but given the relentless ongoing issues with driver availability across the industry, I could sort of see the logic if that was why.

If it is, it's very new. I know of several drivers who have moved from Northern to TPE this year, and quite a few who have moved to LNER in the last 6 weeks or so.
