Looking at the timings it's got 5mins at Bournemouth, will that be due to another unit being attached from the sidings or is it recovery time?

RTT lists another service arriving ECS a short while before into the same platform as the service you linked: http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/W96279/2016/06/28/advanced
So to me it looks indeed likely to be with coupling time included.
