I'm due to have my operation, in London, on Saturday.

Travelling down on the Friday, and leaving at 7ish on Saturday morning to get me to the hospital.

Does anyone work for Travelodge, who might be able to get me a little discount on the Friday evening? I've got £109, including an early check-in fee, but if it were able to be reduced even a little I'd be very appreciative!

First question, have you got check in and check out mixed up? If you're travelling on the Friday evening, then you won't be checking in between 12pm and 2pm, and there's no fee for checking out early.

Second, have you considered staying at a Travelodge outside of the centre of London? I can find rooms for £39/night at Hounslow, which is practically right next to Hounslow Central station on the Piccadilly line, or £46 at Barking, again, right next to Barking station?

If you only need a place to sleep for the night, have a look at Easy Hotel. The rooms are very small and basic, but if all you need is a room and a bed then you really can't go wrong. Just had a look and the one a few mins walk from Paddington is currently £59 for the night for example.

I never said Friday evening, I'm heading on the 0815 from Leeds. The reason I haven't considered an out of London hotel is that I want to be straight there and drop my things off if I can. I have to be at the hospital for some further pre-checks, and last time I carried my things that far I was really ill the next day.
