Last week I was informed by email that I had to change my TPE password, and now the mixing deck format seems to have been replaced with something different and not as user friendly.
I almost always book on Trainsplit, using their "old site" which I'm now panicking about in case it disappears, but just occasionally have resorted to TPE when out and about, as it shows (or did) the number of Advance tickets left at your chosen price, whereas on a mobile device Trainsplit doesn't do this. The new Trainsplit site, which my browser (Safari on MacBook) now defaults to (although thankfully still offering the option to use the old site), isn't half as easy on the eye or user interface.
Incidentally the new format Trainsplit doesn't seem to offer seat selection, unless someone can tell me where to find it, and also the summary box on the right of the screen is static and not scrollable down, so you can't click on the ticket info. if buying more than one, or a return journey. Again if there is a knack to this perhaps someone could enlighten me.

I do hope mixing deck isn't going to become totally obsolete, as I for one find it by far the easiest way to select and buy tickets. All most people want is to see all their options in one easy to read block, and to be able to select their outbound and return journey in one action without having to pick an outbound and basket it before seeing the return options.
(I am not sure of the literal definition of 'mixing deck', and appreciate that 'old' Trainsplit might not fall into this precise description, but it works the same way and fulfils the same functions.)
