Does anybody know what this is?

I found this a second hand store today and I was wondering if anyone knew what it was I'm pretty sure its an eot device but I'm not 100% sure so if someone could help me out with this that'd be very much appreciated

Looks like an old in car emergency torch that my great grandad used to have in his Nissan Bluebird about 30 years ago!

It doesn't look nearly robust enough to survive on the back of a train, I agree it's a motorist's emergency torch.

Agreed it's an emergency torch for a car, I remember playing with one of those in my dads Volvo 340 when I were a small lad in the 90s!

Yes I had a similar one in the back of my Mini Metro,absolutely no use whatsoever.

Thanks for the help. It says Made in Hong Kong so doubting my thoughts about it being involved with the railway.
