Whilst having a rummage around this morning I came across a couple of buttons that I had forgotten about. They were in a rummage box that I had acquired many years ago and dismissed them not thinking they were railway related. Today I googled the initials and found they appear to come from the Docks & Inland Waterways Executive. This was set up in 1948 by the BTC and abolished in 1962. Are they rare? Pictures below.
