Is there a Day Travel Card that can just be used on the Docklands Light Railway or do i have to by the full London Travel Card (Day).
There is a DLR and river one day pass, but at £12, it's more expensive than the normal Travelcard. Is there a Day Travel Card that can just be used on the Docklands Light Railway or do i have to by the full London Travel Card (Day).
Not sure, but you can get a railcard discount on Oyster price capping. So in genral it is cheaper to Buy the London Day Travel Card for £6.30 But can you get Rail Card Discount on Travel Crads ?
Note though that you can't buy a railcard discounted Travelcard from an LU ticket office.Yes, you can. A railcard discounted all zones off-peak day travelcard is £5. For that matter, so is a zones 1-4 and a zones 1-2.
With an Oyster, daily price capping with a railcard is shown on the following link: http://www.tfl.gov.uk/tickets/faresandtickets/singlefares/6769.aspx If you look around that website, you will find more information about Oyster.
Interesting, that's not what the Railcards website seems to think so I guess it must be possible, although maybe not always done.I managed it for a zone 1-D a year or so back at Kings Cross LUL. In fact, BR ticket offices were unable to sell me that particular ticket. If you wish, you can also buy the zone 1-6 ticket online, on the National Express site ask for London terminals-zones R1256.

I wouldn't say it's poorly advertised - the website states that you can not purchase such a ticket from LU - although that it does exist. Although it's a good deal nonetheless, although not required in my case.It is an official LU offer - a Z1-6 with any Railcard is £5, if you want to include the outer Met branches as well with Z1-9 it costs a bit more (basically 66% of the full price ticket). I agree that it's not well publicised, but it's been around for a long while - at a guess since the Travelcard and Capitalcard were combined some 20-ish years ago. You do need to buy at a window though, rather than a machine - and if you meet with blank looks (happened to me only once though) ask the clerk to try 'reduced' Travelcard.

Daniel, since you have mentioned it, I am popping down to London next week. I possess an Oyster card, which I have registered online, and also a YP railcard. Is there anything else which I need to take to the booking office in order to apply the railcard. Do I need to have the log in details for the Oyster website, for example. Also, when my railcard runs out, will I have to repeat the process. Many thanks for any help whatsoever that you can give.An NR Railcard discount can also be applied to a registered Oyster card, which would lower the price at which the card caps for the Anytime/Off-Peak day travelcard.

St Pancras is on the linked list of NR ticket offices which are capable of doing the job. If they fail, I will take the pain and queue downstairs. Once agian, many thanks for you help. You will need to get an Oyster card and have your Railcard discount concession loaded on it. This can be done at:
Tube station ticket offices
London Overground station ticket offices
Some National Rail station ticket offices
It may have been with the old machines, but I tried it a good number of times and they couldn't do it. If it matters, it was a First Class Priv.Mojo, I am sure the machines have the option to issue a first class ticket, even on LU Day Singles..?!
I didn't think that you could buy a first class ticket with Priv discount as i thought it was Standard Class Only ?
