Do you think VTEC will hold a 'launch' sale?

I wonder if VTEC will mark their new franchise with a sale?

I have a choice for some upcoming travel:

i) book a 1ST Single at GBP 44.50 now and earn enough EC Rewards points for a "free" STD single, which I would use at a weekend and upgrade to 1ST with the GBP 25 supplement (total spend = GBP 69.50 and subject to availability)

ii) do not book now and see if VTEC release GBP 30 1ST Advance singles following launch (total spend = GBP 60.00 return).

Both come with risks! What do you think? :)

For the sake of £10 I would book now as anything else is pure gambling and if you lose (there's no sale) heavens knows how much the tickets will be closer to the date of travel.

I cannot fathom how you would even contemplate gambling on it, given that no one knows what will happen.

I'd book now although you could buy an evoucher if you wanted to hedge your bets although bear in mind you only get 1 point for every £1 evoucher purchased, even if the evoucher is subsequently used for 1st class travel.

I suspect there will be lots of evouchers sold on Friday to those of us who want to get our rewards points up to a certain value.
