I don't know much about Dijon. Can anyone confirm whether being missed out by LGV Sud-Est has made a serious impact on the local economy?
A poor example given that Dijon is served by TGVs unlike my particular example under current proposals, Dijon has less than half of the population of my example and is also much more rural than my example in that there are no significant towns within any kind of distance.
The only French cities of comparable size to Coventry are Toulouse, Nice, Strasbourg and Nantes, all are served by TGV services even if the lines have not reached them yet, but none have TGV lines coming within 5 miles but are not served.
