Do you get on with your neighbours?

Anyone live next to a cemetary? Hae problems with your neighbours ?

I would imagine the 'coffin' would really do your head in after a while ................ I'll get my coat.

My right hand neighbours have small children who play football in the garden. We frequently find a ball in the back garden. It's not a problem, I just throw it back over the fence and think nothing more about it - they are fine people and it's not as though it's deliberate. The neighbours on the other side are also friendly. Just lucky, I suppose.

Often used to get this from the boy next door; like you, we just considered it as one of those things and chucked them back. He did learn quite quickly not to kick them over the fence when we were away as it would be a few days or weeks before he got them back

He is now to big to play football in the back garden (not even sure he is still interested), but has graduated to a drum kit hock: Again that is not really a problem as his parents soundproofed the room and he never practises for long but, maybe, this could be written in the past tense as I have not heard them for some time now.

One of my next door neighbours has quite a noisy child; the other watches TV till 2am. Despite this I've grown accustomed to the noise.

Had some real arses in years past but lately not doing too bad.

On our left is a recluse we never see, and on the right is a lovely old couple who share their produce with us. Fresh Flowers, veg and eggs. Nice.

At the bottom of the Garden is the WCML and over the road we suspect is a dealer.

At our previous abode our neighbors would enter our garden while we were away and tend to it, often planting flowers in our pots and removing weeds.

Our current neighbors are from South Africa and very nice people. But we've had a few nasty ones, like in Hatfield, where the man next door could be heard beating his wife up. He was suspected to be a drug addict and we had several lawyers put on his case because he kept causing us problems. We spent less than a year in that house, but he was not a nice fellow.

My next door neighbour is a really nice guy, we always stop to pass the time of day on the stairs, and have a beer together in the local, he also invites me round to his place to watch the footie (we share a common interest in the Super Reds, Manchester United) on his huge HD TV. and when her bought the afore mentioned TV and his old one was surplus to requirement he knoked on my door and asked if I wanted it, the only charge.... carry it yourself, and its a big un'.

I live in some flats and while some of the neighbours are ok and will have a chat, there are some that I have said hello to in the car park or on the stairs and I've either been blanked totally or looked at like I've been scarped off the bottom of someones shoe then ignrored. The nice people who talk have also said certain neighbours are ignorant.

And as for noise there is a woman up above who shrieks whilst having sex and opens the windows so everyone can hear. (ps she is also one of the miserable ones). And she always has to start up at about midnight when I'm on an early the next day!

The whole of my street seems to be pensioners, the ones to left are a very friendly old couple who we exchange gifts with at Christmas. The old lady to the right is a bit nutty to be honest, she does some strange things.

Years ago, the couple next door were great, but always getting drunk and fighting. Annoyingly I could always hear them arguing, but rarely make out what they were saying!

The husband was a tub of lard morbidly obese and just waddled along everywhere.

Anyway one night it really kicked off, with shouting, screaming, dog barking, and the inevitable arrival of an ambulance. I assumed they'd finally stabbed each other.

She came round the next day to apologise for the commotion, and I only just managed to keep my face straight when she told me that actually the husband had fallen out of bed and landed on the dog... and unsuprisingly had suffered from a number of serious bites from a very flat and startled German Shepherd

I have no idea who my neighbours are.

At the moment I know who all the people who life in the same house as me are, but this isn't always the case.

Welcome to modern society, I expect...

Well, at my mum's house, next door is the local pub - p155heads coming out of it at all hours.
and at my dad's house, next "door" is an emergency exit from Manchester Airport.
Never tried to meet the people who live at either

We lived on a lovely new development with great people until the housing market crashed and the developer flogged all the remaining houses to a housing association for peanuts.
The vast majority of the tenants are fantastic and i'm great friends with a lot of them. Unfortunately a minority of idiots have slipped through the net and cause trouble all around the area. The lass next door is nice enough and the only noises we get are her kids screaming, but thats to be expected and they're in bed at a decent time so it's not a problem. I wish she wouldn't let em eat crisps and apples when they're bouncing on their trampoline in the back garden tho, apart from being a choking risk the packets and half eaten apples inevitably end up in our garden!
Had to report the woman "who's likes her cakes too much" who lives two doors down, to the housing association once as she kept parking her car on my drive, blocking me in despite being being asked nicely not to on more than one occasion, but they sorted it and we've had no further problems although she doesn't speak to us anymore, not that i lose any sleep over that!

I moved into this house a fortnight ago and I'm moving out again in three weeks' time. Getting to know the neighbours would be pointless. That said, I do get on quite well with a fox who lives in the field opposite.
