Bit of a silly one, this, almost at the "trivia" level, but it came up in a conversation in the pub yesterday afternoon. Simple question: do the driver and guard of a train need a travel ticket when they are working a particular train? I did wonder if one way round the issue, although I presume in practice all TOC staff have a travel ticket of some sort, is to give yourself permission to travel, as per the byelaws.
Not sure what would be more fun, try and stop me or sit there until the train is delayed and they come looking for you
