Do TOC corporate/head office staff usually get travel perks?

Since the company operating the trains is often legally different to their parent, but still owned by them, do their staff still benefit from staff travel?

For example, GWR is run by First Greater Western Ltd. The in turn is owned by First Group. So do First Group (head office, not necessarily bus staff) staff get the same travel allowances as the people who work under the GWR brand?

I know this may vary. I could've said do Keolis staff get staff travel on Govia services, or Stagecoach HQ staff on VTEC.

But any experience/knowledge would be appreciated.

The couple of guys I've worked with from <owning group> have some sort of travel facility. I can't tell you the detail, though, as I don't know!

Us tram drivers at Croydon Tramlink get the £6 anyday unlimited travel tickets on GWR, Hull trains, TPE, and Scotrail, because the trams are run by First Group.

Not Scotrail any more. First lost the franchise for Scotrail and it is now run by Abellio group which was a real bummer for us. The First passes we used to have were very handy for getting around the country.

It was always a hassle to get to Scotland anyway as there were no staff rates on the Caledonian sleeper to get up there, so no big loss

With some changes you can get close! Hull Trains then TPE.

Thanks for your answers everyone!

I bought those tickets for myself and a couple of friends once. As luck would have it, a Network Rail train brought down the wires on the ECML on the way back, turning a 7 hour journey into a 12 hour one. Never did it again
