DT project for school? Not taking the mick just interested. At the GCR the bog standard way of keeping passengers at bay is to just lock the gates and tell them to keep off until the trains past. We do have a clever (or did till the pikeys next door wrecked it) system where a key switch effectively locks the signal guarding the crossing. Now its just done by word of mouth via two way radio. Fortunately our main crossing is only used on days when the overflow car parks used, and thats rare, and usually only for 30 minutes! Easy turn of duty for the crossing keeper (often me

Well ive made it in school but was adapting it for a crossing then they didn't want it so I was wonderin if anyone else did :bounce:

what do you mean "adapted"? Was it a moisture sensor or something? 960012 adapted his one of those into 00 gauge track circuiting!
Well it was originally surposed to be one buzzer then I adapted* it for a crossing for both sides and now I can fit it both sides witha wire that I think can stretch really far!:blah5:

i'm sorry that makes no sense at all to me :P you adapted a buzzer? How? I mean a buzzer is just a component. More accurate description would be you incorporated a buzzer. I like your idea for uber stretchy wire.
