While driving south on the M5 last Friday, noted two low loaders taking FGW 158 units northbound causing a large tail back of traffic. Anybody know the unit numbers or the destination of these units ?

Thanks for any information.

Could it be low on miles before the Exam? AIUI if a vehicle times out then it must go by road

How fast can these low loaders go with a coach/unit on board?

(genuine question - didn't know how limiting the size/weight of the carriage is)

We do lots of unit moves for FGW but we are very busy at the moment so its likely we didnt have a driver, as only a few of us are unit qualified.

I have seen FGW class 153s on the M42 a few times so that comes as no surprise.
