Well they do have both, BSI at the cab ends, bar non driving end! Not difficult to find out, took me all of 20 seconds :roll:

The production ones have BSI through-out so can be coupled however you want, although I would recommend you put a cab at the front ( and back )

I did mean both, as at the actual coupling, i was under the impression that there was a BSI coupling as well as a semi- permanent bar keeping the unit together, but thank you all the same. I work with other 15X units and i thought they were pretty much all similar in those respects.

They are apart from the first 2, and boy don't the people working on them love all the non standard features on these 2
Remember these were mucked about with in their younger days with the result that the wiring (plus other bits) is all over the place.

Yes, we had a couple of 150's up here years ago, but i never had the 'pleasure' of working them.

I think the issue of diagramming is overplayed. Other operators can deal with diagramming for a small number of units within the wider fleet, so I'm sure that Northern could manage the 3 car Cl150/0's without problem. It's not even like they are so non-standard that they can't be worked in multiple with any other class of unit, even if the wiring within the unit doesn't follow any other known plan.
