Hi,

I have my DMI at the end of the month and I already work for the TOC I'm applying to be a driver for. Does anyone know if my DMI will be structured any differently? I assume I won't be asked what I know about the company and why I want to work for them etc..

I can't really find any info by searching the forum, so any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks.

I wouldn't rule it out, my TOC did, as well as asking what I specifically knew about the depot I'd applied for. Which Toc you applied for? This may help others be more specific with responses.

I had an internal DMI last year for an internal post. They used the standard set of questions but they stated where they tinkered with them a little to suit the role. Quite a few were also considered asked and answered. Again, they reworded the standard questions to reflect me being internal.

There was a little bit more pressure on some questions as I would be expected to know the company details, routes, directors, structure etc already so getting them wrong probably wouldn't have gone down well.

My Managers already knew me so I was comfortable and they had a good inkling how I would answer. They also have an advantage with internals in that they can speak directly to your line manager and already know your employment history etc. (this isn't always favourable)

I still had to go through all the hoops so to speak but it was a little more bespoke on the questions. Procedure was the same.

They will ask u the same questions although they may change them slightly as u should know more about them as you already work for them. I had mine a few weeks ago and they are the standard questions no matter who u are.
