I can confirm both are in passenger service

Just hopped on 224 at 1157am from Stratford to West Ham for two minute wait for 211 back.

I'm going in that direction next week so I hope I can make use of the B23's in both directions of my journey.

....provided they've survived today's rain? (if anyone has any updates on how they've performed today....)

Last time they were in service, I spent about 30 mins waiting at Woolwich Arsenal and it seemed like just about every train in the fleet made an appearance in the time I was waiting but the B23'S. One finally turned up as I decided to give up so it seemed as if I had just missed it when I first entered the station seeing as I had just seen the entire cycle of the service.

They should be making appearances, as I understand it.

209, 211, 224 are the service trains, the plan was to have all 3 in service today but 224 is out of action at the moment (nothing too major)

The Stratford International - Woolwich Arsenal route uses 6 trains, so the next big hurdle will be clearing B23s to run elsewhere on the network.

Just done a trip from Stratford International to Woolwich on 209 and there are no other B23s out, just 5 older trains and 209.

Seems to be a wide range of numbers that have been delivered so far. Especially if it is indeed only 12 that have arrived so far. Just wondering if anyone has complied a list of the units confirmed that are here.

When will these units be cleared to operate in passenger service via the main route to Bank/Tower Gateway (and ofcourse Stratford via Poplar)

I've just had a go on 211. It looks rather like what would happen if a B92 was crossbred with an old Tyne and Wear Metrocar, but it's not bad. When they were originally on test I saw some videos of them and the doors looked painfully slow to close - they're not at Class 165/166 guillotine levels, but they're certainly a lot quicker to close now! The seats were essentially breeze blocks in a moquette coat but I'm sure they'll soften over time. The last thing I noticed (I was in the leading coach), and the only thing which really concerned me, was some quite severe lateral oscillation entering stations, but I was only on it from Canning Town to West Ham so maybe it was something else. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised :)

Indeed as a regular DLR user the “wobbling” feels worse on the new trains.

Also, the station approaches all seem much slower than before. Perhaps that’s a consequence of the remediation work since they were withdrawn. Or perhaps that’s just because the three car units are heavier than the two car units and so need more time to slow down. I’m not an engineer, so feel free to correct me on speculation.

Both 209 and 211 are in passenger service. Went on both and I was impressed. They do feel like proper metro trains.

I think the hunting is still there (you can’t defy physics), but with most seats being longitudinal I doubt the average punter notices it. The tube definitely has far livelier rides.

Are there plans to install handles from the horizontal grab poles?
