Ditton is a southern end to end layout mid 1970's late 1980's. The main baseboards are 4ft by 2ft. With two by 0ne framework and 9mm birch ply top's. It's now need's a part rebuild . This is one of the old Superquick card kits the swan inn built in 1990 for my son's layout . They are OK but not a lot of detail. The road and pavement are by Scalescene. 1640969623105.jpeg

That's a nice scene. The pavement slightly raised above the road is a nice touch - and the car park area round to the side of the pub is just like the kind you might see in a small countryside village or something (there's a few near me and they've all got a sort of "overgrown turning bay/lay-by" feel).
I know you can only see a tiny bit of it in that photo, but the bus stop sign looks quite interesting. Did you make it yourself or is it from a manufacturer?

Hi peter. The bus stop sign's are from Model Railway Scenery .com The car park is only fine wet & dry paper look's like tarmac. Done a update on my first post.
That's a very good idea the wet and dry paper :)

I'm looking forward to seeing more of this!

Ah lovely - thanks! I'll check them out. I've got a couple of bits on the layout where some of that tarmac finish might just do the trick so thanks again :D

These old Superquick Terraced Cottages have now been Demolished. My plan is to replace most of the card buildings. i need to get on with more scratchbuilding's. I've got a warehouse on the workbench . parts on order to finish it off. The Figures are from Langley models. 1641239490787.jpeg

I don't want to sound at all childish by voicing this opinion, but that model 'village-by-railway' in those pictures looks so cute, amazing work from yourself, you ought to be proud. :D

Excellent. Love the 3rd rail, that looks very authentic.
That 3rd rail took me over a year to do on the layout . Every 4th sleeper as got to be drilled to fit the pot in. After that you need to slide the rail through the pot then you have pot's that brake':{. They are very flimsey. After that it's a coat of Railmatch rust paint. I did want to build a Underground layout once. After the 3rd rail problems i don't think i can face a 4th rail set up. Replacement for the Swan inn now the Plough . The car park was cut down in size to make way for a larger beer garden. Plus more benches. 1641760326942.png

Ah the Southern Electric. What range of EMUs do you have?
Emu's Bachmann 2EPB. 2Hap. MLV. 4CEP. DEMU class 205. Hornby VEP. DC kit class 207 Oxted unit half built i need to get on with this . i am go'ing to order two chassis from replica as i don't like the one's that came in the kit. Something i want to get is a cig. There are two way's to do it. One from dart castings or Ayjay models are going to bring one out this year i hope. I just need to phone Aryan to find out when. Then he can give me a discount as we went to the same model club.

A classic SR scene very nicely created.
