Distance from Depot?

If the first sift of new job applications is based on the distance/time from your home to your desired depot, and that is over the 45 mins: how does one tell the sifters that you intend to move closer if successful?

The few application forms I have seen do not seem to have a way of stating this, other than writing it in one of the address lines for example.

Application forms used to have separate question about applicant’s willingness to move if successful.

Nowadays more and more companies require you to live within certain distance at the time of application, not after or later. That’s why the forms you’ve seen won’t give you an option of saying that you’re willing to move.

There’s very little you can do as it became a requirement. That is partially due to abundance of suitable local candidates and partially due to some drivers in the past that moved for the job and moved back at first opportunity...
