@GWRHelp
There's damage to the overhead electric wires between #LondonPaddington and #Slough. Lines are currently blocked. Transport for London, South Western Railway, London Underground and Chiltern Railways are accepting GWR tickets.
@BTPPaddington
Overhead wires are down close to Paddington. Please refer to @TfLRail @GWRHelp @HeathrowExpress @nationalrailenq for latest information. Emergency service are on route inc @networkrail. Please do not leave trapped trains, remain on board. Rail Tracks are very dangerous.
as far as I can see passengers being diverted onto Waterloo from Reading services (half hourly) and also via Windsor (half hourly) and the possibility of diverting Weybridge services to Reading.Looks like could be a 387 or a Heathrow Express, nice to see egress operated by passengers on a train within 15 mins !!
TfL Rail is still running the ITT from Heathrow Central to Terminal 4 but that is all they have. Ticket acceptance in place on route 140 and London Underground.
Heathrow Express suspended even on the ITT section it seems.
...which would be fine if not for the Underground power failure.
Given that it was only a few days ago when it took 3 hours to evacuate a train which was very close to Victoria, I can understand that passengers aren't feeling very confident in the rail industry's ability to look after them when things go wrong (not saying that I approve of that).nice to see egress operated by passengers on a train within 15 mins !!
H&C and Circle lines near PaddingtonIs that not just the Paddington problem ? Picc Line Good Service it says
even so... 15 mins... no one will have even found out what has actually happened by then ! anyway first call 1150 and two trains evacuated by 1320, not going to do it much quicker than that !Given that it was only a few days ago when it took 3 hours to evacuate a train which was very close to Victoria, I can understand that passengers aren't feeling very confident in the rail industry's ability to look after them when things go wrong (not saying that I approve of that).
It already is!Imagine if GWR was DOO
Was very much an exception rather than a rule!even so... 15 mins... no one will have even found out what has actually happened by then ! anyway first call 1150 and two trains evacuated by 1320, not going to do it much quicker than that !
Found a BBC article:

All Heathrow trains are cancelled, and the article seems to imply the wires fell of their own accord.
There are no busses... and the wires here have been up for 20odd years...Sounds like hours and hours of bus replacement ahead. I bet they are regretting putting the wires up now.
