Any 'on the ground' details as to why an incident in a car park has caused all services to be be suspended between Bishops Stortford and the airport?

BBC East reporting a man drove at the security barrier & now under arrest. Not quite sure why it's taking so long.

Really surprised the BBC haven't made more of the story and developed it further. Rather short for an incident such as this. I thought these sort of incidents are what 24 hour news channels love.

Was it an XR2i, does anybody know? Why publicise one persons crusade, or indeed, his inept ability to perhaps control his 'fast hatch'. Maybe he was simply arrested for wearing white socks, being Essex and all that..

Publicising potential bomb scare incidents in any great detail is not something that the authorities are particularly keen on, and the media tend to follow that train of thought.

Glasgow ended with a large fire and a man on fire. It also followed 2 foiled car bombs in London.

Its a bit differently really !!
It is different but during world war 2,there were news blackouts so it is possible to reduce coverage of events.

It seems that planes and coaches were running normally, but trains weren't.
Apparently there was also a separate incident involving a fire alarm earlier in the afternoon.

By the way is it delay repay-eligible?
