Disruption at Longbridge this morning

A colleague said this morning he was going to catch a train into Birmingham at Longbridge this morning, and as he was about to board, there was some kind of explosion / big bang and flash at the top of the train which made everyone jump, then the train was then stuck there for quite a while. Does anyone know what happened?

Been reports of "power supply problems" affecting one or more services running through the area this morning. Anyone able to confirm / expand on this?
