Disruption and split tickets

Quick question...

I have a journey coming up where the return includes split tickets, the split is Anytime single to Advance single (Cross Country).
If the train I intend to get is cancelled then in the event of ticket acceptance or not on other TOCs would I still have to choose a service stopping at the split point?
