The only special ticket I discovered is "return" - it gives some discount if I need come back and forth from Liverpool Central to Fazakerley.

Are there any cheaper options? Where can I read about them?

Thanks.

How frequently do you need to travel?

In that case an Area C Day Saver would be cheaper at £3.70 for unlimited travel for a day.

Zonal map in this document. Saveaway tickets use the same zones/areas.

For 20p extra, the Saveaway ticket will include other modes.

Depending on how many times per week you travel, and whether you travel before 0930 or not, it may be cheaper for you to buy a season ticket. Full details and prices are available here. It would cost £15.10 for a week's unlimited travel between Fazakerley and Liverpool by rail. Longer-duration season tickets offer greater savings.
