Disabled person’s railcard

Hello,

I have just received my disabled person railcard in the post and the accompanying letter says that I can receive a third off on my companion’s ticket as well as my own ticket. How do I redeem this? Is it automatically applied when booking online on website such as trainsplit? Will the forum’s booking website automatically apply the relevant discounts? Cheers

You simply enter 2 passengers and 1 Disabled Railcard when searching; the Railcard discount will automatically be applied to both passengers' fares. This will work anywhere, whether you buy your ticket using a website/app, through a ticket machine or from a ticket office. Your companion can also buy their ticket separately, again simply by specifying 1 passenger and a Disabled Railcard. They need to travel with you at all times, though.
