In the last timetable change, there was an early morning service and a mid afternoon service from London Euston to Glasgow Central that went through Cov, BHM etc, has this been capped in the new timetable?

Ta.

I'm not sure one even existed?

Certainly doesn't appear in the current timetable.

There was one, I was surprised to find it when looking for train times one day. No idea if it still runs though.

It was more than likely just a joining of London Euston - Birmingham and Birmingham to Glasgow Central, but normally it was 390 operated, I think it was the 14:42 in the afternoon.

The 1443 service arrives in Birmingham NS at 1608 and forms the 1630 service back to Euston - it always has done, at least since January. I know because I take it all the time!

Perhaps it's a different one?

Geordie back from exile.
There were a couple of through services Euston - Coventry - Scotland during the summer of 2010. The services are down as running mid July - early September 2010. The times were 0843 from Euston - Coventry 0943 then on to Edinburgh at 1422. Afternoons there was a 1343 from Euston - Coventry at 1443 and on to Glasgow at 1919. Times for Saturday were almost the same.

Southbound there was an Edinburgh - Coventry - Euston service departing Edinburgh at 1052, through Coventry at 1530 and on to Euston arr 1634. Afternoon there was a 1452 service also from Edinburgh, through Coventry at 1930 and on to Euston arr 2034. These were also down as mid July to early September 2010. No service direct from Glasgow southbound.

There were other stopping points, just not included for brevity.

There are also trains running this year at very similar times from 16 July to 10 September.

As Flymo says, there'll be a 1343 service from Euston to Glasgow Central (arrive 1917) calling en route at Milton Keynes (1413), Coventry (1442), Birmingham Int'l (1453), Birmingham New Street (arr 1508 dep 1520), Wolverhampton (1537), Crewe (1609), Warrington BQ (1627), Wigan NW (1638), Preston (1653), Lancaster (1710), Oxenholme (1725) and Carlisle (1804).

The above are Saturday times, midweek varies by a few minutes.

Yes, as above, they were Euston to Edinburgh not Glasgow

I have also checked 2009 and 2010, and there was no single service, they were separate services run by a single train
They were Birmingham - Edinburgh services that were extended Euston - Birmingham into the existing timetable structure
However, in 2010 this was revised and advertised as a through service between 19 July and 03 September, the rest of the year it remained as Birmingham - Edinburgh

Prior to 2009 there was a once a day Euston - Edinburgh service, but in order to apply the high frequency timetable (to Glasgow) this was dumped, and the Edinburgh option in the summer was amended as above

It was/is advertised at Preston as London Euston via Birmingham New Street.
