Confused on if allowed or even possible.......trainee driver jobs!!!!

Hi guys,

Newbie to this forum in regards to posting even though I've been reading up since the last 3 months.

I have a question or maybe a dilemma that I need answering.

Recently bar the Multi Model Interview I have thankfully passed the test due to no managers being about they couldn't do the MMI. Awaiting dates for that......in the meantime another post I applied for same role(trainee driver) has sent me to do the initial Opc test which I have until Friday to do.*

My question is can I proceed with another toc as I've passed most test? Or is this opening up a can of worms for me???

Any help will be appreciated.

THANKS

If you retake the tests and fail any part then your previous result is cancelled and it will count as one of your OPC 'lives' lost. A couple of colleagues of mine where in a similar position redoing tests for enhanced pass scores.

I presume you're referring an online test, possibly the SJT or VSE? The VSE isn't mandatory to the best of my knowledge so the two strikes and you're out doesn't apply to that one. The SJT I sat whilst at the OPC is however mandatory from what I'm aware, if it is, you'll probably have sat it at the assessment venue. However I have also been sent online SJTs in the past, I don't know if these count towards the two strikes.

Sorry, I misread; I thought you were referring to redoing main tests other than MMI. Economist is right; TOC specific preliminary tests won't affect previous result. SJT on the day isn't marked, it's used by the assessor to guide MMI questioning.

Thanks guys for your imformative responce. Aye....its the online one I believe it to be the SJT stage 1. Before you go to the assement centre. So if I proceed with this one while waiting on the other TOC to get back to me regards MMI. This shouldn't have a brearing on my assement test taken. Correct???
