The Euston is 3 down at Coseley, obviously has the wait at BHM to make that up but I see no issue here.

Yep he got in front of the local. That was the critical thing. He will have 4 mins or so at New St for a cross platform connection

Hopefully he may have been able to run across to his Pendo at Wolves, as NRES was showing the 158 as using plat 2, with the Pendo leaving from no.3- a simple cross-platform change. Of course, it could've changed between when It last showed that & when they actually arrived/departed..
